Mike Tyson Match Against Roy Jones Jr. Ends In Draw

The highly anticipated eight-round fight night matchup between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. ended in a draw on Saturday night (Nov. 28). Streamed on Triller, the two former professional boxers went head to head without fans at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Tyson, 54, who hasn’t hit the ring in 15 years landed some pretty hard punches on Jones Jr., 51.

The match followed a different set of rules and timed each round two minutes instead of its usual three minutes. They were judged on their technique, style, defense, effectiveness of punching, and aggressiveness, according to People Magazine.

Following the fight, Tyson and Jones Jr. agreed that they could settle for a draw. Jones praised the athleticism of his opponent whereas Tyson was content that he was able to entertain the virtual crowd.

Despite a draw being announced, social media declared Snoop Dogg to be the winner for the evening as his hilarious commentary during each round had fans unable to contain their laughter.

“This s**t is like two of my uncles fighting at the barbecue,” the rapper said.
